A collaboration

Some of the most ambitious works Parrish accomplished, was in his murals, especially the ones he did for the Curtis Publishing Co. between 1911 -1916. And especailly Florentine Fete and Dream Garden, a mosaic executed by Louise Comfort Tiffany.
The Dream Garden required the efforts of more than 30 artisans to execute over the course of a year, in thousands of handcut Favrile glass, a new type of material invented by Tiffany. Favrile, a deviation of the old Saxon word for "handmade". Favrile dazzels with iridescent colors and a jewel like patina. As one leading critic wrote: "Mere words are only aggrevating in describing this amazing picture".
