Experimenting with Light

Street Art

These characters have been popping up in all the major urban centers from Philly to L.A. No one I know has been able to explain their meaning, if in fact they have one, nor who is their creator, or who is responsible for their propagation.
Anyone with knowledge of this phenon, clue me in.

more street art.........

Some of these figures have 2 eyes, others 3.

"One Nation Understimulated"

Visit to Nemours....

These images were taken on a recent trip to the A.I. du Pont Mansion and Gardens in Wilmington Delaware.
One hundred years after it's completion in 1910, Nemours Mansion remains the grandest residence ever constructed in Delaware and it's gardens are still the finest example in North America of a formal French garden. The grounds cover 222 acres. The estate was named after the town in France that Alfred I du Pont's great, great gradfather, Pierre Samuel du Pont represented as a member of the Estates General in 1789.
du Pont was a philanthropist, musician, composer, engineer and an inventor. His lasting legacy is the Nemours Foundation, which was established under the terms of his will. The Nemours Foundation owns the mansion and gardens and operates the Alfred I. du Pont Hospital, a multi sub-speciality hospital for children.

Achievement statue....

Flanked on both side by fountain portraits of Triton and standing upon a 10' bowl of red Levanto marble, Achievement , a 12' tall statue covered in 23 kt gold leaf by Henri Crenier, is the centerpiece of the garden.

Reflecting Pool and Fountain

When the jets of the 40' diameter ring fountain are off, the entire Vista is reflected in the 800,000 gallon pool. The Carrara marble statues at each corner represent the four seasons and were carved by French sculpter Henri Crenier. The Du Ponts used the the pool (which covers 2/3 acre) for swiming and boating.
